Tapping the Power of Timelines
Would you like to incorporate Social Studies content in your
multi-level classroom? Do you know that The TASC requires student
to have prior Social Studies content knowledge? Wondering how to get
this knowledge to students at all levels? Timelines are a way that
both lower and higher level students can learn and retain US History.
In this workshop we will learn how to create and use timelines and
introduce strategies for reading different text types such as: images,
maps and political cartoons, as well as review activities. You will
walk away with a rich collection of resources for teaching Social
Studies at all levels.
