This month, we will look at the ethics of biotechnological
enhancement.Is it appropriate for biotechnology to engage in a project
of radical enhancement of the human species, to make us faster,
smarter, and live longer?
Traditionally, medical technology is used to make unwell people well.
Should new technology be used to extend life indefinitely? To enhance
life beyond our normal experience?
Dr. Philip Reed will lead us as we seek to understand this issue and
try to think about it in a theologically-informed way. Dr. Reed is
Professor of Philosophy at Canisius College.
The Nickel City Forum is a venue to discuss the big questions in life.
