For girls ages 15-18 _INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN THE ARTS? _ Learn from professional artists w ho are working for social change- do yoga, meet painters, create art, write poetry, learn from playwrights, make jewelry, and gain insight into careers in the arts and so much more! MOLLOY COLLEGE SUFFOLK CENTER Walt Whitman Birthplace (only on Friday 8/18) August 14-18, 2017 9:00 am—4:00 pm REGISTRATION $100 Scholarships are available; contact Sunita Mahtani at Stmahtani@girlsinclongisland.org to apply Daily schedule includes morning yoga, following by college preparation/visioning for the future activites, lunch, and an afternoon working directly with and from professional artists- painters, playwrights, poets, and jewelry designers! The last day includes a career panel of women working in the arts. This program is the perfect introduction to high school girls who are interested in pursuing a career in the arts and/or SOCIAL JUSTICE! Thank you to our Sponsor One Love Long Island.
