$135 - $150 full price) Battle for the Badge is an annual fitness
competition hosted by GSR FIT to bring the local fitness community
together in support of Returning Warrior, a project dedicated to
bringing awareness to the issues faced by our veterans coming home
from a warzone. US Army defines a badge as a military decoration
issued to soldiers who achieve a variety of qualifications and
accomplishments during their service. GSR FIT has created the Battle
for the Badge to honor the US military while challenging all of the
teams to see: WHO WORKS HARD ENOUGH... WHO IS DEDICATED ENOUGH...
And... WHO IS TOUGH ENOUGH.... ABOUT RETURNING WARRIOR The Returning
Warrior is a project of the Broome County STOP-DWI Program and is in
support of the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group (STVSG) held to
heighten awareness about service member’s transition from the
dangers of warzone driving to the new risks they face on our public
highways here at home. ABOUT GSR FIT GSR FIT is all about "Maximizing

-------------------- Event 1: In Over Your Head 10 Min AMRAP Cash In:
Outdoor Shuttle Run Max Rounds: You go, I go (Partner A completes 1
round, then Partner B completes 1 round) 6 Snatches* (RX: 135/95, SC:
95/75) 5 OHS (RX: 135/95, SC: 95/75) 4 HSPU (RX: Strict, SC: Kipping
or 3x pushups) *Snatch can be either power or squat
-------------------- Event 2: Base of Fire 10 Min Cap 2a. Time to
complete both Athlete 1: Grace (RX: 135/95, SC: 115/75) Athlete 2:
Fran (RX: 95/65, SC: 75/55) 2b. Max row cals. Athlete 2 rowing during
Grace Athlete 1 rowing during Fran Athletes can switch anytime.
Athletes must change own weights. -------------------- Event 3:
Absolute Unit 14 min cap 3a: 10min cap: Score is time to complete
50/35 Cal bike 40 box jump overs (RX: Jump on or over the box, SC:
Step Overs) 30 Toes-to-bars (RX: TTB, SC: Knee raises or 2x Ab Mat sit
ups) 20 Muscle Ups (RX: MU, SC: Kipping only C2B (no butterfly) or 2x
ring row) Can start 3b as soon as done with 3a. Then in remaining
time: 3b: Score is weight x reps. Alternating 3 Touch and Go squat
cleans. Must be touch and go. If you drop, the reps do not count in
that set. Team chooses weight. Weight cannot change once decided. Team
must load the bar and announce weight to judge prior to the beginning
of the event.
