Time for a haircut! Watch as our sheep get their much-needed spring
trims.
Celebrate Spring on the farm at NYC’s ONLY sheep shearing festival.
Farmer-led tours and sheep shearing demonstrations connect visitors to
life on the farm. Learn about the cycle of wool processing, shop a
selection of Queens Farm’s very own yarn, and visit with fiber
artisans as they showcase spinning, weaving, and knitting. Get down to
the foot stomping rhythms of live music, enjoy hayrides, kids crafts,
and a free scavenger hunt to add to the fun! Visit the historic
Adriance Farmhouse for 18th-century cooking demos, and pick up
seedlings for your home garden at Queens Farm’s spring plant sale.
Be sure to stop by the Con Edison Ecology Booth to Adopt-a-Worm and
get recycling tips. Local brews and tasty food vendors will keep you
coming baaa-ck for more.
