DATES: Feb 1, 8, 15, 22 Instructor: Madison Berg In this class,
students will continue exploring the basics of Machine Knitting on
their own individual Brother 864 standard gauge knitting machine.
Students will learn the basics of drafting for knitting and garment
shaping, different cast on processes, how to get a finished edge, how
to increase and decrease, and garment finishing techniques. Students
will walk away with a Machine Knitted garment based on their vision.
Previous projects include sweaters, tank-tops and more!
Pre-requisites: Machine Knitting 101 or equivalent experience -- Our
classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final
product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a
lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique
are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the
student based on their vision. 4-week students have access to Open
Studio time for free during the month of class and for up to a week
after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
