DATES: Feb 17, 24, Mar 3, 10 Instructor: Isa Rodrigues Are you novice
weaver and are ready for the next step? This is the right follow-up
class. In this class, students will continue their knowledge of
WEAVING TECHNIQUES, further exploring woven design options, through
experimenting with color and texture. Students will dress their own
loom, learn proper technique for PAINTING THEIR WARP AND WEFT WITH
DYES AND INKS TO CREATE IMAGERY OR PATTERN FOR THEIR WOVEN CLOTH, and
other WEAVING TECHNIQUES SUCH AS TAPESTRY AND PILE WEAVING. Depending
on the complexity of the WEAVING PROJECT, students may need to come in
for Open Studio time outside of class in order to leave with a
finished piece. Pre-requisites: WEAVING 101, or equivalent WEAVING
EXPERIENCE -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill
rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills
and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and
learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will
need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. 4 Week
students have access to Open Studio time for free during the class
weeks and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge
