Please get to Cass Park around 8:45am to get your gear (life vest,
paddle, seat pad, etc.), warm up, and load the boat. We want to leave
the dock and be on the water by at 9am.Note: we practice rain or shine
– unless there's a chance of thunder/lightning. Remember to dress
appropriately!
Your hands and lower arms will get wet. Paddling or biking gloves if
you have them. Long sleeves that you can push up. Maybe a light
fleece. A couple layers are good so you can take one off when you warm
up from paddling. Your feet could get a little wet. Some people wear
water sandals with wool socks, others just wear flip-flops! Some folks
wear light quick dry hiking pants. Yoga pants are good too. Just no
cotton!
If it's warm: bring and wear sunscreen! Bring water and make sure
you're properly hydrated.
Please note/remember: you can not get on the boat unless you've
completed a 2018 membership/waiver form

We welcome people who want to try paddling to come practice with us a
few times without a commitment. For more than a few time there is a
membership fee of $200 for the April to November season. Fees help to
defray the cost of equipment, maintenance, storage, dock rentals,
insurance liabilities and various programs related to our stated
objectives.
