NYC nonprofit Project Petals is hosting an Earth Month Volunteer Day at Paradise Community Garden in South Jamaica, Queens to help prepare for the next harvest and repair storm damage. Volunteers are needed for general gardening, composting, planting, helping prepare the strawberry harvest, and painting. More skilled volunteers are also requested for repairs to the greenhouse and benches, as well as help installing a water irrigation system. Open to ages 14 and older. Sign up online.
