Every October, Lake George Village holds a three-day celebration of autumn and everything that comes with it. During the Lake George Village Oktoberfest, Canada Street is transformed into a Bavarian-style Street fair. Entry to the event is free! Oktoberfest offers fun for the whole family, celebrating the Oktoberfest traditions, music, food, and beer. Oktoberfest features authentic German food like bratwurst and a Bier Garden with local handcrafted German-inspired ales and lagers from Lake George's own Adirondack Brewery. They will be pouring their Oktoberfest Lager, a tasty, sweet Märzen-style beer brewed with New York State hops. Lake George Oktoberfest will have plenty of music to get you dancing! We have a variety of traditional German polka bands performing all weekend long, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes! You also won't want to miss the Chicken Dance because crowd participation is strongly encouraged. And don't miss the annual cask tapping - O'zapt! More fun includes local artisan vendors, carnival rides, keg tossing, stein hoisting, and more! Oktoberfest is held rain or shine. Children and well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Ladies put on your dirndl dress or skirt and gentlemen step into your lederhosen and come to the annual Lake George Village Oktoberfest - Prost!
