Guests will get up close with some of the largest animals to ever walk the Earth, including more than 60 life-size animatronic DINOSAURS AND PTEROSAURS. DINOSAUR SAFARI IS A BELOVED TRADITION AND IMMERSIVE WALKTHROUGH EXPERIENCE AT THE BRONX ZOO THAT HAS CAPTURED THE HEARTS AND CURIOSITY OF FAMILIES AND PALEONTOLOGISTS-in-training for years. New this year, guests will marvel at the 11 brand-new DINOSAURS AND PTEROSAURS MAKING THEIR DEBUT AS THEY MOVE AND ROAR WITH NEW CUTTING-edge animatronic technology so realistic that guests will feel like they’re transported back to prehistoric times. From the 43-foot Giganotosaurus, to a pair of Sphaerotholus, to the famous apex predator Tyrannosaurus rex, encountering a Triceratopsand Ankylosaurus, dino lovers of all ages will take a step back in time, but make memories guaranteed to last a lifetime.Dinosaur Safari adventurers will also experience: (NEW) Walkthrough Rib Cage Tunnel: Who else can say they’ve walked through a dinosaur rib cage? Along the immersive adventure, guests will encounter live interpreters along the trail and learn new discoveries about these ancient creatures, including some of the physical and behavioral adaptations used by many dinosaurs and modern wildlife, such as birds and other present-day animals.
