This year, we’re proud to honor three community members: DR. THOMAS F. SCHUTTE [https://www.pratt.edu/presidential-search/dr.-thomas-f.-schutte/], Chairman of our Board and President of Pratt Institute, whose tremendous leadership has changed the face of BROOKLYN and who is currently celebrating 24 years with Pratt Institute and 19 years of service on BAC's Board; legendary graffiti artist and commercial designer FUTURA [http://www.futura2000.com/], whose work continues to influence the way we experience art and life in our borough; and ALLOY DEVELOPMENT [http://www.alloyllc.com/], an award-winning Brooklyn-based architectural and development company whose projects include SPARK by Brooklyn Children’s Museum (the Museum’s DUMBO annex) and The 2,000 Gallon Project, an initiative which brought trees and plants to the streets of Gowanus. Alive with Art will take place from 6:30 – 9:30pm on Thursday, May 18th at The William Vale in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, followed by an after party from 9:30-11:30pm.
