In Estonian with English subtitles A semi-satirical tale based on real-life ESTONIAN STARTUPS,_ Chasing Unicorns_ follows Õie, a young book-keeper from a small town, who stumbles onto the tech scene in her native Estonia, a country where making startups is a “national sport.” Joined by Tõnu — a serial failure whose companies have each gone bankrupt — and using Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg as her inspirations, she sets out on a journey to take on the male-dominated tech world and go after the dream of founding a unicorn startup. Based on the experiences of more than 30 ESTONIAN ENTREPRENEURS WHOSE REAL-life stories overlap with Õie’s fictional journey, _Chasing Unicorns_ is directed by Rain Rannu, a former entrepreneur (founder, Fortumo).
