LYME PREVENTION AND TICK BITE FUNDAMENTALS

Lyme disease is the most common vector borne illness in the US. More than 300,000 new cases of Lyme disease are diagnosed each year. The CDC just reported that tick borne disease has doubled since 2004. Practitioners like Eli Morales, ND believe it is time for radical education of the public about this growing epidemic. The emphasis will be on tick bite prevention and tick bite management. We will focus on questions regarding the back ground of tick borne disease and ticks, where ticks thrive, how to decrease the tick population in your area, and how to prevent tick bites.This event is perfect for weekenders and residents. WHA Event-Lyme Tick-bite Fundamentals 2 at Woodstock Healing Arts June 19th at 7pm. There is a growing awareness about how to manage ticks and insects around our home. Where individuals fall short is what to do if they are bitten and what to do after. This workshop will be held at WHA. It will include a recap of Lyme Prevention Fundamentals plus: Prevention of tick bites and how to boost the immune system. What to do if you get a tick-bite, What to do after a tick bite.
