In an age where we rely on GPS navigation for every turn, could you
still use a paper map? Are you ready to find out? ORIENTEERING IS A
MAP READING SKILL THAT TURNS A WALK IN THE WOODS INTO A, sometimes
challenging, scavenger hunt. First, you orient the map, then
orient yourself on the map, and try to find the “control flags”
hidden in the woods and circled on the map.At each meet, there will be
easy (all controls on trails about 3K), medium (controls visible from
trails, 4-5K), and difficult courses (controls in the woods 5K+).
Instruction is offered for beginners. Registration is from 10:30
am-1pm and competitors must finish by 3:30 pm.
