Creating a Real Summer of LoveIt’s summer and all thoughts turn to “road trip!” Everyone wants happy summer memories free of problems or issues of any kind. The tricky part: very few people understand the real causes of happiness and suffering. We tend to look for happiness outside ourself, thinking “my two-week camping vacation” or “a day with my friends at the beach.” But one cloudy day or unhappy co-camper can quickly disturb our minds. In this series, we’ll look at how we can infuse a mind of warm affection, cherishing others and even (gasp!) universal love into all our summer activities—states of mind that will remedy the rainiest of weekends, the buggiest of campsites and bring peace and happiness to all our summer activities. Join us Monday nights in-person at the center. It’s SPF 100 protection from all those negative feelings blocking the sunny state of mind that we crave.
