This WORKSHOP LETS EVERYDAY COFFEE LOVERS EXPLORE ONE OF OUR COFFEE
ROASTS IN DEPTH. It builds on a basic understanding of green beans and
coffee ROASTING, so if you haven’t already, we’d recommend taking
the Farming & Specialty Coffee Class first. There will be plenty of
tasting to accompany learning about the ROAST-profile and flavors of
the coffee. The ROAST CHANGES MONTHLY, and the ROAST FOR JANUARY IS
THE _GEISHA __MONEY MAKER_, an experimental blend we sent to the
Golden Bean Competition! We’ll cover:
* How farming and processing influences the flavors of green beans
* How we use roasting and blending to create our coffees
* A palate calibration portion in which we'll taste more than just
coffee!
Everyone will leave the workshop with a better understanding of
coffee, as well as an 8-12oz bag of the coffee they've been tasting
(size is roast dependent).
** This class may be rescheduled in the case of low enrollment. **
** Students will not be allowed to attend class if late 5 minutes or
more, please be respectful to other students and arrive 10 minutes
prior to the start time**
