In current discourse on mass incarceration and the prison industrial complex, what is often omitted are the narratives of those who encounter these issues personally on the day-to-day. "The Visit" will feature an excerpt from "My First Born," a solo performance by K'Sisay Sadiki, daughter of US held political prisoner Kamau Sadiki. The Visit is an excerpt from the TO BE FREE PROJECT, a ten-year portrait project that exposes the stories of political prisoners in the United States who were jailed for their activism in the 1960s and 1970s and advocates for their freedom.
