The CAPITAL REGION GROWN UP EGG HUNT, now its sixth year supporting
local and REGIONAL CHARITIES, will take place on Sunday, April 23 from
1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at JENNINGS LANDING at the Corning Preserve in
Downtown ALBANY.
This will mark the first time the event has taken place in ALBANY. In
its previous five installments, it has taken place in Troy. Founded by
former Troy Record reporter Danielle Sanzone in 2012 and now managed
by Ty Versocki from Relentless Awareness, the egg hunt raised
thousands of dollars for organizations, including the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society in its inaugural year.
Hundreds of CAPITAL REGION BUSINESSES HAVE DONATED PRIZES AND
GIVEAWAYS, ranging from gift certificates to weekend getaways.
This year, proceeds from the egg hunt will support the Albany Center
Gallery, now celebrating its fortieth year as one of the Capital
Region’s premiere art galleries, and In Our Own Voices, an
Albany-based advocacy and support organization focused on issues and
concerns facing LGBT people of color.
