The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival
[http://www.90secondnewbery.com] is an annual video contest in which
kid filmmakers create short movies that tell the entire stories of
NEWBERY AWARD-winning books in about 90 SECONDS.
For eight years we've screened the best kid-made movies annually in
New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and many other cities—including
right here in ROCHESTER!
Make your FREE reservation for the ROCHESTER SCREENING OF THIS YEAR'S
90-SECOND NEWBERY! The SCREENING IS HOSTED BY CHILDREN'S
AUTHORS James Kennedy [http://www.jameskennedy.com] (_The Order of
Odd-Fish_) and the legendary Bruce Coville [https://brucecoville.com]
(_My Teacher Is An Alien, Space Station Ice 3,_ and more).
We'll be showing movies made by kids in ROCHESTER AND SOME OF THE BEST
FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY.
This year, the ROCHESTER 90-SECOND NEWBERY WILL SCREEN ON SATURDAY,
February 1, 2020 from 2:00-3:30 pm at the ROCHESTER MUSEUM & Science
Center, in the Eisenhart Auditorium (this auditorium is on the RMSC
campus, but not in the museum proper; campus map here
[http://jameskennedy.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/campus-map.pdf]). James's
and Bruce's books will be available for sale thanks to Hipocampo
