Jazz90.1 WGMC-FM is pleased to announce three free summer jazz
concerts to be held on the grounds of Greece Olympia School – 1139
Maiden Lane. The series will include performances by The Greece Jazz
Band on Monday June 18, Jon Seiger and The All-Stars on Wednesday July
11, and Swing Dynasty on Tuesday August 21. All three concerts begin
at 6:30 p.m. The Greece Jazz Band has been performing in the greater
Rochester area since 1997, this volunteer big band has developed a
varied repertoire of familiar standards, dance tunes, and modern
high-energy jazz charts. The band’s growing performance schedule
includes holiday concerts at area malls, several dance nights,
numerous summer festivals and events. All three concerts are free and
open to the public and will be held on the lawn just outside of the
Jazz90.1 studios at Greece Olympia School. There is ample free parking
and attendees should bring chairs or blankets. Light beverages and
food will be available for purchase during the concerts. If weather is
an issue, the concerts will be moved indoors to the air conditioned
Greece Olympia auditorium the same evening. In accordance with New
York State law, school grounds are drug, alcohol and tobacco free.
