Prepare yourself and your partner for the days, weeks, and months
after baby is born with this four part
series. Class 1 : Immediate Postpartum and your newborn
What does a newborn look and act like? What medical procedures are
required for my baby? What will my immediate postpartum be like?
In this informative class, we will be discussing the magical golden
hour, common hospital practices for both mom and baby, and what it
will be like going home. We will also cover carseat and sleep safety,
and you’ll learn infant CPR.
Class 2 : Nuts and Bolts of Breastfeeding
In this class we will cover breastfeeding basics, including
breastfeeding positions, latch and general information about newborn
feeding behaviors. Dianne will also debunk breastfeeding myths and
give practical advice on developing a positive and healthy
breastfeeding relationship.
Class 3 : Back to Work
It’s been 8 weeks already! This class will get you ready for
everything related to going back to work after having a baby. We will
discuss pumping, milk storage, feeding schedules and how to continue
a solid breastfeeding relationship with your baby.
Class 4 : Support 101...we’re lookin’ at you partners!
To wrap up our series we will be working directly with partners on
what to do to support mom and baby during the postpartum period.
We’ll help you to feel confident in your ability to advocate for mom
and baby in a hospital setting. We will discuss what partners can do
to support a healthy breastfeeding relationship, what you can do
before the birth to prepare, and what to look for concerning
postpartum mental health disorders.
