This CONCERT WILL DEBUT ALAN EPSTEIN'S DELIGHTFUL NEW CD, "Sunset on
Meriden Hill," RELEASED IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR. It's an instrumental
album featuring Alan on mandolin accompanied by Jim Prendergast on
guitar. Alan hosts CAFFE LENA's monthly bluegrass jam and is known
throughout the Capital District as a first-class bluegrass mandolin
player and teacher. This CD showcases the breadth of tunes Alan loves
to play, from "Shalom Aleichem" to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," with
classics such as "Banks of the Ohio" and "I'll Fly Away" mixed in.
Joining Alan on guitar for the CONCERT WILL BE JIM PRENDERGAST WHO,
after thirty years working in the recording studios and orchestra pits
of Nashville TN, now resides in southern NH where he operates the Mill
Pond Music Studio where this CD was recorded.
