Rosewood Fanning Piano Competitions

Rosewood Fanning invites you to enjoy the talent of accomplished pianists during our inaugural Competition Weekend. Our competitors applied from musical institutions across the East Coast such as the New England Conservatory, the College of St. Rose, the University of Maryland and Temple University’s Boyer College. Our distinguished group of musicians have also won in piano competitions sponsored by Julliard, MTNA, Capital District Council for Young Musicians, and Yamaha International.

Pianists under the age of 16 will compete in the Franchezza Competition, held in the Emerson Auditorium at the Taylor Music Center. Pianists ages 16 to 30 will compete in the Capriccio Competition, held at Union College Memorial Chapel.

This event is FREE and open to the public, though reservations are encouraged and donations appreciated to support the cause of music conservation and competition. You can also enjoy the talent of our Competition Winners at 2:00 pm at Union College Memorial Chapel on Sunday June 30th.
