In the ORTHODOX CHURCH, the PASCHAL SEASON (the 40 days following
Pascha, the ORTHODOX NAME FOR EASTER) is the most joyous and
significant SEASON AS THE CHURCH CELEBRATES THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS
CHRIST. It lasts forty days (April 12 to May 21 this year), from the
time of the Resurrection to the Ascension. Each of the PASCHAL SUNDAYS
HAS ITS OWN SPECIAL THEME, which is reflected in the New Testament
readings (The Acts of the Apostles and the Gospel of Saint John the
Theologian) and hymns of that day, as well as the sermon. HOLY TRINITY
ORTHODOX CHURCH OF EAST MEADOW (LOCATED AT 369 GREEN AVENUE) INVITES
YOU TO WORSHIP WITH US DURING THIS HOLY SEASON. All SERVICES ARE
CONDUCTED IN ENGLISH.
