2019 Women's Gardening Apprenticeship

This is a class for WOMEN WHO WANT TO LEARN HOW TO GROW YOUR OWN FOOD FROM START TO FINISH! This GARDENING APPRENTICESHIP IS ONE WEEKEND A MONTH FOR 6 MONTHS. We will start on Friday evenings and play until Sunday afternoon. Each weekend we will explore a variety of skills with a focus on biointensive-style GARDENING. We will also do energy work with meditations, woods walks, the medicine wheel and body movement, herbal medicine making, food preserving, seed saving, composting and crafts. Primitive fire & shelter skills, shiitake growing and tree identification may be included if time allows. This is an overnight weekend and we'll make dinner together from wild and stored foods, and fresh garden veggies as they grow. We will also explore ways to improve our health through nutrition from the garden, body movement and self-awareness. To help us, we will use the beautiful tool of the medicine wheel to find answers and balance in our daily lives.
