Harriman SP Classic: West, The Timp, Bald and Doodletown

8-10 miles.We'll do a bit of bushwacking in the area and try to find an abandoned trail going up to The Timp. MUST BRING MAPS (NYNJTC Harriman-Bear Mountain Trails [http://amzn.to/1JUrGAK] or National Geographic Harriman-Bear Mountain [http://amzn.to/1nJEGzf]), HEADLAMP.  Water; minimum of 2 liters!!!!! Unless you know the host(s) personally, please message the host(s) and provide some information about your fitness level and hiking experience, if any.   We  expect you to know what you are doing and abide by all group rules.   There will be no sweep. We travel at our own pace. Drivers, please post with your RSVP if you have room for passengers and where you are driving from or can pick up passengers. Passengers, please chip in for gas, toll(s) if any, coffee/tea for the driver. Hosts do not coordinate rides, so be proactive about offering carpool and contacting drivers. Post on the Meetup page. Trailhead GPS:[masked] [masked] These are not guided trips - these are social events - so members are responsible for their own safety.  Some Safety Guidelines:  - If you leave the trail, let another hiker know you are doing so and leave your pack in plain sight. (We never leave a pack behind!)  - If you decide to leave the group and hike on your own, be sure the organizer is aware of it.  - If you have any problems or are struggling to maintain the pace, let your organizer and other members know immediately.
