Flower City psych tour-de-force Overhand Sam and Bad Weapon, have
wowed and inspired locally and throughout the Northeast, from the Bug
Jar to Borderland Music and Arts Fest. Led by radical electric
guitarist Overhand Sam Snyder (Maybird, Thunderbody), this outfit
expands and supports his original creative vision, full of analog
synthesizers, euphoric guitar, sonically taming, and rhythmically
throbbing with abandonment and restraint. Their 2023 self-titled
release is available online (Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple), and
physically.
5:30 pm: Pluck
Growing up in the countryside of Livingston County, Pluck is a living
experiment that proves the collective love of music shared by
childhood friends can and will continue to bring light into the lives
of friends, family, and strangers alike. Influenced by the songwriting
of local bands, vintage records, and a constant stream of indie,
alternative, shoegaze, bluegrass, folk, and the almighty Led Zeppelin,
we have taken an unspoken oath to create music as a collaborative
effort that connects with our feelings and collective life
experiences. Fearlessly pushing ourselves to grow as musicians, Pluck
has found a space free of expectations, rules, and genre boundaries.
We live for the hook and the ability to communicate the contents of
our hearts.
Carried by the rhythmic constancy of Benjamin Chesnes on the drums and
Alyssa Zaso on bass, Javan Levey (lead guitar) and Brock Saltsman
(guitar and vocals) have been privileged to expand and flourish
melodically in a perpetual duet of soulful riffs and heartfelt
lyricism. Pluck tells stories of love, struggle, and growing pains
through performance, and promises to never stop living untethered,
unapologetically, and for your entertainment.
7:00pm The Aces - Alternative Pop, Indie Rock- Provo, Utah
(This sister-duo and friends lead single, "Daydream," has 35 million
streams. Their sound is often compared to bands like HAIM, The 1975,
and Chappell Roan)
Hailing from Provo, Utah, The Aces were formed by then pre-teen
sisters Cristal and Alisa Ramirez (lead vocals/guitar and drums),
Katie Henderson (lead guitar/vocals), and McKenna Petty (bass). The
members of the group were longtime friends, and it didn't take long
for them to click as songwriters and musicians. Known for their
infectious melodies and emotional honesty, the group has released 3
LP's where they've solidified their sound and space in music. With
their latest single release, "The Magic", The Aces have reached new
pop heights and build on their many previous successes. To date, the
group has earned over 250 million career streams; their third LP,
Under My Influence alone garnered more than 80 million (including 41
million across DSPs on its lead single ‘Daydream'). Furthermore, The
Aces have toured with the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, X Ambassadors,
The Vamps, and COIN, and have played at festivals all over the world,
including NY Pride, Lollapalooza, Firefly, Bonnaroo, OUTFEST, Sziget,
Pukkelpop and more. In 2024, they opened for Chappell Roan at Kentucky
Pride and recently completed a US tour with Goth Babe - rapidly
becoming one of pop's most exciting and authentic voices.
