AUGUST 24, 2007 Jamiel Neal was the passenger in a friend’s car
when the driver lost control causing the car to take out about 100
yards of guardrail, flip over and land on the other side of the Sprain
Brook Parkway going through Greenburgh, NY. Jamiel was pronounced dead
at the scene of the accident due to blunt force trauma to his head.
The driver became the first person in Westchester County convicted
under the First Degree Vehicular Manslaughter law for driving drunk
and causing the crash. He was also convicted of aggravated DWI and
DWI with a previous conviction and a misdemeanor DWI charge.
OUR MISSION:
To uplift and strengthen our community by enhancing our knowledge of the dangers and effects of drunk driving.
With your support and donations we will be able to educate others so
that families do not continue to suffer from tragedies related to
drunk drivers. We believe that through education people can learn to
avoid situations where someone who has been drinking ends up behind
the wheel. In addition to educating about the dangers of drunk
driving we also believe in helping kids get the best education
possible. Part of that is making sure they have the right supplies
when they go to school. Join us this year where half of the proceeds
will benefit Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and the other half
will help purchase school supplies for children in the White
Plains area. Food will be served and there will be a raffle.
Please show your support as we continue to try to better our
community. We welcome you bring school supplies to the Jamiel Neal
Fundraiser.
