Mindfulness MEDITATION GROUPS ARE A WONDERFUL WAY OF CONNECTING WITH
OTHERS, provide soft accountability to stick with our MEDITATION
PRACTICE, create community around contemplative practices and allow US
to share and deepen our MEDITATION PRACTICE.This group meets on the
first Sunday of each month for 30 minutes of silent sitting meditation
followed by a short check-in from each member and open time for
sharing joys, difficulties, and questions about their meditation
practice and how it is working (or not) in our daily lives. The group
then discusses a meditation related text - one book selected roughly
each month - to explore together (reading the monthly book selection
is optional). For those who are interested in continuing conversation,
dinner at a local casual restaurant will follow the meditation
gathering.
Because our group has expenses associated with running this meditation
meetup, we will pass a donation basket at the end of each meditation
session, with a suggested donation of $1
