This year we honor some phenomenal change agents and elected
officials, complete with delicious BRUNCH AND A SILENT AUCTION. Join
Us! This fundraiser supports our Annual Joyce M. Dixon HBCU Tour. Last
year was absolutely amazing, and this year will be better.
This year, we will pay homage to, Dr. Phyllis Worthy Dawkins, a woman
who knocked down barriers for Historically Black Colleges &
Universities across the country. During her tenure of serving Bennett
College, she ignited a fundraising campaign that raised $10 Million in
approximately 3 months.
Among our honorees will be GCS School Board Members, Winston McGregor
& Khem Irby, Rep. Ashton Clemmons- Democratic member of the North
Carolina General Assembly representing the State's 57th House
district, Shaun Hall of Penn Griffin School of the Arts, Communities
in Schools of High Point, and Sharon Green of Thomasville City
Schools.
Mayor Nancy Vaughan will also receive special recognition for her
support of our initiatives with our students throughout Guilford
County.
Please join us for an afternoon of honor, live entertainment, great
food, and fundraising as we continue to create a college culture for
our underserved students, and advocate for our HBCUs. We cannot do
this without you!
