The NC Whole Hog BBQ Competition is coming to Laurinburg as part of Suds & Swine, a two-day festival happening on Friday, April 11th, and Saturday, April 12th. The festivities will kick off on Friday with live music, food trucks, beer vendors, and more. At 7:00 pm, the competition teams will receive their hogs, and the delicious aroma of North Carolina pork will fill the air.
Saturday morning starts with BBQ judging at 9:00 am, followed by judging of the "backyard" grill-off featuring local competitors. Music will continue throughout the day with performances by various artists. The event will also include kids' games and a Downtown Art Festival, adding to the fun. After the BBQ is judged, it will be sauced, mixed, and sold by the pint or as sandwiches. Dessert vendors and additional beer trucks will be on-site to keep everyone fueled for a day of fun.
