Make sure you stop by their booth during the festival to learn more about this fantastic company!ACTIVITIES AND RIDES: AUSTRALIAN V8 SUPERCAR RIDES: Imagine the raw power of a 600+ horsepower, fire-breathing Australian V8 Supercar as it thunders around VIRginia International Raceway for the first time ever at HyperFest! Now imagine going for a ride in one without having to travel all the way to Australia. These iconic monsters are purpose-built for wheel-to-wheel racing, with snarling V8 engines, razor-sharp handling, and a visceral driving experience unlike anything else. The sheer force of acceleration, the roar of the exhaust echoing through the rolling hills, and the grip from the Toyo Tires that keeps you pinned through every twist and turn will leave your heart pounding well after you’ve come to a complete stop courtesy of the Hawk Performance brake pads. If you crave speed, adrenaline, and the ultimate ride-along thrill, this is your chance to be one of the first people to strap in and feel what it’s like to unleash an Australian V8 Supercar on one of America’s most legendary road courses. BURNOUT CONTEST: The Burnout Contest is your chance to show everyone how well you can kill tires and make smoke in our asphalt pit, the Thunderdome. Within the k-walled arena, you are able to do donuts, figure 8s, or opt for the crowd favorite with your front bumper up "On the Wall", as they like to chant! Enter for a chance to win $500 and other prizes (to be determined) in front of a huge crowd to prove that you have the best cloud-making machine on the East Coast. REQUIREMENTS Participants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. Helmets are required, you must have a SNELL SA2010 or newer helmet to participate. If you do not have a helmet, loaner helmets will be available for you to use. All vehicles must have four (4) wheels. No bald, corded, or badly worn tires will be allowed. NOTE: Racing slicks are allowed. Cars must pass a basic technical inspection for safety. RULES Participants will have 30-seconds to complete their burnout signaled by an airhorn. No passengers allowed. Only water will be permitted on the tires, no other substances or chemicals allowed. Vehicle must be kept in control at all times. If there is excessive tire hop, the vehicle must be stopped. Officials have the right to stop any vehicle at any time. Winner will be determined by the announcer and influenced by the crowd applause/reactions. Participants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. CAR SHOW: One of our core attractions is the ever popular HyperFest Car Show. This is where you can find some of the best vehicles on the East Coast all in one spot. The Car Show is open to all makes and models, from right off the showroom floor vehicles to completely one-of-a-kind custom builds. The car show will take place on Saturday, from 10AM-4PM, but participants are encouraged to arrive early and stay late to enjoy all the other festivities throughout the weekend. The Car Show will feature a bass off competition, custom awards, raffles every 30-minutes during the event (detailing packages, automotive swag, rally rides, merchandise, etc.). NOTE: You still need to purchase a GA ticket in order to enter the event. The car show entry is only for your vehicle to enter the show. Saturday: 8 AM: Registration 8 AM: Roll-in and staging 10 AM: Car show begins 2 PM: Judging 4 PM: Awards CLUB HYPERFEST: As the sun sets and the track goes cold, the party grabs another gear! Join us in front of the gallery building Saturday night, immediately following the burnout contest, and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of Club HyperFest. Returning for its 6th year, Club HyperFest features DJs playing the best electronic music hits on a huge stage with state of the art production. Grab your crew and hit the dancefloor for the type of party that can only be found at HyperFest! DRIFT RIDES: Ever wanted to experience drifting around a racetrack at high speeds? We thought so, that's exactly why we created Slide-Alongs, our version of drifting ride-alongs. At HyperFest, we give you the opportunity to not only go for a drifting ride, but sometimes alongside 2-3 other cars in tandem. Previous events have featured two-time Formula DRIFT champion Vaughn Gittin, Jr in his Monster Energy Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR, three-time Formula DRIFT champion Chris Forsberg in his 4 door Infiniti M50, Formula DRIFT competitors Ryan Tuerck in his GT86 street car, Chelsea DeNofa in a Ford Mustang RTR, Forrest Wang in his Get Nuts Nissan 240SX, and Dirk Stratton in his Lingenfelter Chevrolet Camaro. Check back soon to see which amazing drivers will be coming out for this year’s epic, smoke filled event! HYPERDRIVES: HyperDRIVEs are our hugely popular introductory program for new drivers. Sanctioned by the National Auto Sport Association (NASA), HyperDRIVEs give you and your car an easy, safe, and affordable way to get on the track. WHAT’S INCLUDED? CLASSROOM SESSION All participants must attend a brief classroom session with an instructor. The class will go over basic car setup, instructions, techniques, and flags. While you are attending the class, your car will be going through a basic technical inspection outside to ensure it's safe and ready for the track. THE TRACK The Patriot Course at Virginia International Raceway is a 12-turn, 1.1-Mile road course nestled inside the historic and world famous 3.27-Mile Full Course. The track features various elevation changes and provides drivers with an exciting and challenging layout to learn on. KARTING: The VIR Kart Track is a state-of the-art 5/8 mile, 24-foot-wide paved circuit. Their karts run ungoverned Honda GX 270cc motors capable of speeds in excess of 50 mph, making them some of the fastest speeds you’ll find for go-karts anywhere. The VIR Kart Track is open to the public from Noon to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. The track is also available by appointment in the evenings and on Mondays and Tuesdays. Reservations Highly Recommended. In addition, VIR Kart Track memberships are available for an annual fee of $50 each. Members receive a membership card that they can use for discounts at the VIR Kart Track and a free 30-minute session during their birthday month. Membership also allows express access to the Kart Track without having to sign waivers every visit. Memberships are not required, but suggested. Go-kart race on outdoor track with three drivers, surrounded by trees and tire barriers. THE VIR KART TRACK DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Must be 12 years of age or older MUST WEAR Pants and long sleeve shirts are recommended, but not required A closed-faced helmet* Safety neck collar* Closed-toed shoes Karts have a weight limit 260 lbs. *Neck collar, head sock, and helmets may be borrowed from the VIR Kart Track at no additional cost. KID ZONE HyperFest attracts kids of all ages, however in the Kid Zone, kids rule the area and no adults are allowed. A variety of inflatable attractions will be set up for kids to burn off any extra energy they might still have, guaranteed to keep them busy for a long time and give them smiles for hours. OFF ROAD WORLD - RIDES & DRIVES: RIDE ALONG OR DRIVE YOUR OWN 4X4 Bring out your stock or modified 4x4 vehicle to HyperFest’s Off Road World and experience a variety of trails, tracks and courses built throughout VIRginia International Raceway's 1300-acre facility. Are you ready for an off-road adventure but don't have a 4x4? No problem, we have instructors operating vehicles with room for up to 3 passengers or you can book a RFH Toyota 4Runner Tour-Guided Drive and get behind the wheel of a rugged and equipped 4x4 vehicle with a guide riding right-seat to help you through the terrain. Do you love Adrenaline?  Our friends from Chaos Fab Shop will take ride along participants on thrill-seeking, high speed rides on our time trial track or through the obstacle course in their customized and suped up 4x4 vehicles! Have you always wanted to experience what a 4x4 can do?  The experts at Sarek Autowerke will be on-site offering participants the opportunity to ride along or be guided in their own 4x4 vehicle on a variety of Dan River Trails, obstacle and boulder courses specifically built to showcase what a 4x4 vehicle can conquer. KONI DOWNHILL ATTACK Got an old Power Wheel collecting dust in your garage? Here’s your chance to repurpose it into track car. Don’t have one, no worries, there’s always a bunch on Craigslist for sale and if you want to go all out, you can always purchase a new one. The Koni Downhill Attack gives you the chance to race on the iconic VIRginia International Raceway just like the pros for a fraction of the cost (and the size). One of our most popular activities at HyperFest, the KONI Downhill Attack! is your chance to show the kids what their Power Wheels vehicle is REALLY made to do! This is absolutely the cheapest way to experience the legendary "Roller Coaster" section the 3.27-Mile Full Course at Virginia International Raceway during HyperFest. Only 60 lucky drivers will be able to compete for the Championship. Don't despair because ANY driver that has registered and completed the pre-event requirements will get at least one shot for immortal glory in the "All Race", featuring a Le Mans Style Start. If one of the 60 registered drivers is unable to attend or doesn't check in at the event, you may get called in to fill their spot. Make sure that you follow all pre-event instructions received and that you physically check in at the Power Wheels Booth on Friday after 12PM. KAIZEN RACE TRACK RIDES Kaizen Autosport: Kaizen Autosport is America's premier racecar driving operations located at VIR. Kaizen Autosport offers an array of programs for the novice to experienced drivers. Kaizen Autosport will be offering race track rides in the following vehicles: Kaizen Super Car Rides: 2015 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo - 5.2L V10 with over 600hp at 8250rpm and a weight of just 2800 lbs gives this beast a 1:4 power to weight ratio. The car is capable of a sub 1:50 lap time at VIR, with a top speed of around 170mph. Rider must be less than 6’2” and 260 lbs. 2015 McLaren 650s GT3. - 3.8l Twin Turbo V8 with about 525 hp in Pro Spec, (car is BoP for sro and IMSA). Spec weight is 2950 lbs. This car raced in IMSA with the Gainsco team. Top speed is over 170mph at VIR with an average lap time of 1:46. This track monster is not for the faint of heart! KAIZEN RACE TRACK RIDES Camaro SS 1LE - With a 6.2L V8 pumping out 450 horses and a curb weight just a touch over 3,000 lbs, these Camaros throw down excellent times around VIR’s full course. If you are looking for a thrilling ride, look no further! Warriors In Motion Race Track Rides: The E46 is considered the best on-track chassis ever built by BMW. Experience what a true track-prepped race car feels like in the hands of a licensed NASA racer! Fly through the esses, experience the rollercoaster and have the time of your life on the VIR Full Course during this ride along! RACING FOR HEROES - RIDES AND DRIVES Ride Along or Drive in a RFH Toyota 4Runner 4x4 Join Racing for Heroes (RFH) at HyperFest to experience the beautiful trails and dirt courses at VIR, all while supporting veteran services.  RFH skilled drivers will take you on the ride of your life in their equipped vehicles, or if you want to get behind the wheel of a rugged Toyota 4Runner this is your chance to learn how to tackle obstacles, navigate the Dan River Trails and conquer obstacles with a RFH guide in the seat beside you! RIDES AVAILABLE GUIDED DRIVE - TOYOTA 4RUNNER TRAIL DRIVE Embark on an off-road adventure in a rugged Racing for Heroes Toyota 4Runner as you navigate scenic trails with an experienced guide. Feel the thrill of tackling rough terrain, winding paths, and elevation changes, all while enjoying breathtaking views and an adrenaline-pumping experience. Rally & SXS Rides Strap in and hold on - Exedy rally rides are better than any roller coaster you have ever been on! The best part is you get to have fun in the dirt and you don't even have to clean up the mess. Saturday Only - don’t miss out! SPECTATOR GAMES: One of the few things that aren't car related at HyperFest are our spectator games. These games vary from year to year, however they are generally designed to be fun for the whole family. Headlining the spectator games is the popular PRS Guitars Air Guitar contest where you can win an actual PRS Guitars for just being the best at pretending to play a guitar.
