Bill is battling Pancreatic cancer, which he was diagnosed with this past November, and has moved into his lymph nodes and kidneys and is now terminal. Bill and Diane spent most of the winter traveling to get Bill other treatments and chemotherapy, and applying for test trials without success.
The medication, travel costs and treatment for Bill has become extremely expensive. To help with the costs of treating Pancreatic cancer a benefit for Bill will be held Aug. 25 at El Zagal Shrine, located at 1429 3rd Street North in Fargo. The benefit will be start at 4 p.m, with a progressive silent auction beginning at 4:30p.m. Pulled pork sandwiches, chips, pickle, a cookie or bar will be offered for a $5.00 suggested donation, with the benefit ending at 7:00p.m.
The event is open to the public and to all ages. Lend a Hand Up, a charitable program guided by the Dakota Medical Foundation, is providing $5,000 of boost funding to uplift the generosity of attendees of the event.
