Removing Barriers to Employment with the CQE and Record Sealing: A Training for Community Members

The Cuyahoga County Office of Reentry is holding a workshop on the Certificate of Qualification for Employment (CQE) and Adult Record Sealing for formerly incarcerated persons and individuals with criminal records.The CQE can benefit individuals with criminal convictions who cannot seal their criminal records but face significant barriers to employment. Record sealing is for individuals with eligible offenses incurred as an adult. Filing procedures and client eligibility requirements will be discussed during the training. Volunteer attorneys will be available onsite to answer individual questions and an Office of Reentry staff member will assist with CQE applications.
