Game Night with YMCA Supportive Housing - 2/13/2020

Pictionary, Uno, Apples to Apples, Euchre and more! Snacks and drinks will be provided.  Join Columbus Gives Back for a Game Night with the residents of the YMCA Supportive Housing Unit.  Volunteering has never been easier!  This event is one where we are able to have hands on interactions with those in need.  The men at the shelter look forward to game night and are always appreciative of our time.  

When: Thursday, February 13, 6:00-8:00 PM

Bring: Volunteers are welcome to bring snacks, soda, or games to share with the volunteers and residents.

Where to Meet: We’ll meet immediately inside the main entrance doors, get a brief orientation to YMCA’s supportive housing program, and then prepare for the game night.

About #CbusGivesBack: Columbus Gives Back coordinates group volunteer events with local non-profits, organizes philanthropic happy hours to raise support and awareness for our non-profit partners, and participates in other philanthropic events while emphasizing our social twist: to have fun with volunteers new and old during and after events in the hopes of creating a culture of community engagement amongst our target audience of young professionals.

About YMCA of Central Ohio’s Supportive Housing: With the YMCA of Central Ohio's supportive housing program for adult men, our main objective is to offer the assistance and support needed to stabilize and maintain independent housing, while providing access to those supportive services needed in order to achieve the highest possible standard of living.  All tenants are assigned a Service Coordinator who can assist residents with obtaining various services from community agencies, such as life skills counseling, health and medical care, outreach programs for drug and alcohol dependency, employment training and career development, and much more.

Cancellation Policy: Due to the nature of our events, an accurate headcount is important.  Please contact one of the event coordinators if you have RSVP'ed but are unable to attend this event.
