****IMPORTANT NOTICE****
CLASSES ARE BEING POSTPONED FOR ONE WEEK TO MONDAY MARCH 16TH
Domain: Collective Action
Facilitated by Daniel Hughes and Troy Bronsink
FOR ALUMNI OF PREVIOUS COURAGE TO CONNECT COURSES AND EVENTS.
In the past 2 years we’ve been learning from C2C that the body not
only keeps score, but that our body is the primary place where the
suffering from racialized culture is experienced and where freedom
from that suffering can be experienced. To help US with this we came
across Ronda Magee’s book _The Inner Work of Racial Justice: Healing
Ourselves and Transforming our Communities Through Mindfulness
[https://www.amazon.com/Inner-Work-Racial-Justice-Transforming/dp/059308392X/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1581971140&sr=8-1]. _
Participants should plan to purchase or check out this book for the
series, and come having read and journaled. Participants can expect
discussion, open space for questions engaging contemporary events, and
guided body practice. This six week course will closely follow
Magee’s book, and incorporate a body exercise:
* Week One: Grounding (pg 1-62)
* Week Two: Seeing (pg 63-138)
* Week Three: Being (pg 139-200)
* Week Four: Doing (pg 201-284)
* Week Five: Liberating (pg 285-334)
* Week Six: Community of Transformation
We will also include an optional field trip to see Rohnda Magee speak
at Miami University, Thursday, March
This class has been sponsored by a donor, we welcome donations for the
course to "pay it forward" for others to take it.
