JOIN US FOR THE ANNUAL EVANSTON 5K RUN/WALK HAPPENING ON SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 2025 BEGINNING AT 8:30 AM. EVENT BEGINS AND ENDS AT THE EVANSTON RECREATION CENTER. FOOD, DRINKS AND POST-RACE ACTIVITIES TO FOLLOW! This family-friendly community event will kick off at the Evanston Recreation Center starting at 8:30am and follow a 5K/3.1 mile route through the community. Runners and walkers of all speeds and abilities are welcome! ORGANIZER: Evanston Community Council Organizer Website: HTTPS://EVANSTONCINCI.ORG/ [https://evanstoncinci.org/] BENEFIT: Proceeds raised will support the year-round operation of the Evanston Employment Resource Center and the Evanston Community Council Food Pantry. COURSE INFO: Fast, flat 3.1 mile course through the neighborhoods of Evanston. See Course Map section below. RACE DIVISIONS: 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over AWARDS: Top Male and Female and Top male and female in each age group POST-RACE ACTIVITIES: After Run/Walk Celebration for adults and youth at Evanston Recreation Center. Wellness Day, 9:30am until 1:30pm will offer a range of services in support of social determinants of health. Services designed to energize community engagement for youth through seniors in summer and fall 2025. REGISTRATION COST: Adults $25 . Youth 17 and under are $15. youth scholarships available Registration includes shirt, chip timing and pre and post race activities.
