Girl's Softball League - 8U - Troy, OH 2025

Description 8u is for girls that are 8 years old or younger as of January 1, 2025. The minimum age for a participant is someone that has turned 7 years old by June 1, 2025. The child's age of January 1, 2025 determines the LEAGUE THEY PLAY IN. All teams play in the Miami Valley SOFTBALL LEAGUE WHICH CONSISTS OF TIPP CITY, TROY and Miami East. Divisions will be based on the number of teams each community has and will be communicated to parents via email in mid-late March. The LEAGUE IS COACH PITCH AND PLAYERS PLAY WITH AN 11 INCH BALL. Coaches will pitch 6 pitches to each batter. Games for the season will begin in late April/early May. Teams will play approximately 10-12 games (including the tournament). Games will be played in TROY, Tipp City and Miami East. Games could be played every day but Sunday (except for the tournament). A single elimination post season tournament will tentatively be held the third weekend of June in Tipp City. All towns in the LEAGUE WILL PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT. All games will be completed by June 30, 2025. Fee includes Dri-fit jersey. Registrations will be open until the deadline and/or until all spots for teams in each division are filled, whichever comes first. The number of teams per age group is dependent on the number of participants registered and having enough head coaches in place to coach each team. THE SOONER WE HAVE COACHES IN PLACE THE SOONER PRACTICES CAN BEGIN. If any information changes in regards to LEAGUE PLAY, the Recreation office will email those participants registered.
