Yay Bikes! Yay Valet! @ OSU Spring Football Game - 4/15

This is one of our new events! We are volunteering with Yay BIKES! to help them run their bike parking at the OSU SPRING GAME. Signing up for this event is a little different than before. STEP 1: Sign up on this Eventbrite page through COLUMBUS Gives Back so we know who is attending. Feel free to volunteer during other time slots as well. Just know that a CGB event leader will only be scheduled during our specific time. WHEN: Saturday, April 15 from 3:30-5:00 PM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 3 WHERE: The Shoe, 411 Woody Hayes Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43210 EVENT LEADERS: Diana at diana@columbusgivesback.org WHERE TO MEET: Main entrance (They encourage volunteers to bike, bus, or walk to the event because parking will be hectic.) WHAT TO WEAR: This event is outside, so wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes. AFTER THE EVENT: Volunteers are invited to come out after for our #socialtwist to enjoy some food and drinks! ABOUT YAY BIKES!: Yay Bikes! believes that riding a bike is an important thing people can do to feel profoundly connected to their best selves, to their fellow (wo)man, to their place and the environment, to their version of The Divine. We believe that riding a bike is a unique experience in that regard—notably different from the experience most of us have driving a car. And because it offers such rare and profound connectedness we believe that _bicycling transforms lives. _YAY BIKES! EXISTS BECAUSE BICYCLING PROVIDES ACCESS TO TRANSFORMATION. Especially so for those who choose to ride, but even among those who don't, whose lives are safer, more peaceful and altogether more enjoyable when cyclists take to the streets. A bike friendly world is a better world, for all of us!
