Throughout the Events For Change series, hear from leaders around the Commonwealth as we discuss pressing topics impacting women in the workplace - such as power dynamics, allyship, or women on boards. Throughout these conversations, and discussions, we will explore opportunities to individually and collectively become more engaged in making a change.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the second event in the series, as we continue to embark upon “Many the Miles” and collectively resolve to create the workplaces, and the world, in which we want ourselves, our daughters, and our daughters daughters, to thrive in.
In an era of #MeToo and #TimesUp, join us to take a deep dive into the initiatives, movements, policies and legislative actions regarding power inequity and bias impacting people in businesses across the Commonwealth. Hear from community leaders about how they are combating bias in their workplaces and the community, and discover how each of us can take individual and collective action to shift the power dynamic.
The purpose of this event is to bring people together to discuss allyship in workplace (across our communities regardless of gender, race, LGBTQ, or disability) and determine how we can best use our relative privilege to advocate for marginalized people and affect change.
The event will be divided into three sections:
- Making the Connection: Networking with community members
- Education: Learning from industry leaders and discover opportunities and tools for engagement
- Action: Committing to taking steps to being a better ally in the workplace
