Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the exciting Cherokee National Holiday Veterans 5K Run and Fun Run/Walk taking place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in the beautiful town of Tahlequah, Cherokee. This vibrant event celebrates the spirit of community and honors our veterans, starting at the Cherokee Nation War Memorial located at 17675 S. Muskogee Ave. The Fun Run kicks off at 7:00 a.m., followed by the competitive 5K race at 7:30 a.m. Participants can enjoy a virtual option for the 5K as well, with shirt pick-up details to be announced later. Race day registration and packet pick-up begin at 6:00 a.m., so arrive early to ensure a smooth start. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group for the 5K, and all participants will receive a t-shirt after the race while supplies last. This USATF sanctioned event features a certified course, ensuring a thrilling experience for runners of all levels.
