Ethics in Counseling the Bereaved

ETHICS IN COUNSELING THE BEREAVEDTHURSDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2018 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. When treating the bereaved many ethical questions can arise. This workshop will address a multitude of concerns including assessment and treatment, multicultural considerations, self-awareness and death anxiety, and social justice issues. OBJECTIVES: * Learn appropriate assessment tools and treatment methods to approach grieving clients * Discuss multicultural considerations within the context of bereavement * Address self-awareness and death anxiety while working with the bereaved  * Explore social justice issues for mourners Presenter: Alissa Drescher, MA, LPC, Fellow in Thanatology 3 CEU Credits Our workshops have been reviewed and approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Health, LPC/LMFT Licensing Board and the State of Oklahoma Board of Licensed Social Workers (provider #20180014). All ticket sales are final.
