Join us at Maryhill Museum of Art for a summer tradition – a magical overnight campout and stargazing experience in one of the most majestic settings imaginable. Volunteer Astronomers will provide telescopes to give visitors awe-inspiring views of the summer night sky over the Columbia River Gorge. Catch glimpses of the Milky Way, the Andromeda Galaxy, Sagittarius, Jupiter, Venus and Mars!
Learn about the stars during a twilight conversation or explore the museum, which will be open late. Visitors who wish to stargaze without camping, are welcome. Stargazing only is FREE on the grounds of the museum.
Camp out on Maryhill’s beautiful lawn with storyteller extraordinaire Will Hornyak while the amazing Rose City Astronomers set up telescopes to view deeply into the universe. Check-in begins at 4 p.m. The Museum will remain open until 7 p.m.
Cost for Tent or RV Campsite: $80 nonmembers | $70 members Includes a campsite on the lawn at Maryhill, and one (1) free admission to the museum for each member of your party.
