Gong Love - Gong Meditation (Gong Bath, Sound Bath) in Corvallis, Oregon

"THE GONG TAKES YOU DEEPLY INTO THE PRESENT MOMENT." Mark Clem at Sonic Journey_Gong Love_ is a sound meditation practice using gongs to guide our attention and relax our busy minds (also known as a gong bath or sound bath). The relaxed, mindful state you experience during each _Gong Love_ helps you understand your relationship to THIS MOMENT, deepening your connection to your SELF.  Sound baths (literally bathing in sound and vibration) enable each of us to experience quiet, mindful consciousness without prior meditative experience and are a simple practice that everyone can receive and enjoy, whatever your background may be. My approach, based on compassion, curiosity, and being in _my_ present moment allows me to share this experience with you in a safe, refreshingly supportive environment.  There are no gurus here – only guides who are companions on the journey. _Gong Love_ events are immersive SOUND EXPERIENCES. We hear the SOUND, but we also feel the vibration resonating within our bodies. Each SOUND MEDITATION IS A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE – not only do the SOUNDSCAPES EVOLVE, but we arrive to each _Gong Love_ with our own ever-shifting perception of self. Through sound meditation, we can experience profound relaxation, rest, deep states of meditation, dreamlike visions, and spiritual journeys. We may also feel a deeper connection to hidden parts of ourselves – intuition, spirit, creativity and inner guide. Receiving regular sound meditation enables us to become familiar with the feeling of CALM and NOW and inspires us to consciously inhabit the present moment. WHAT HAPPENS AT A GONG LOVE SOUND MEDITATION? We begin with simple breathing and relaxing visualization exercises designed to calm our minds and assist our arrival, in this moment, within the gong meditation space. Next, we get comfortable, and the vibrations begin to wash over and through our bodies. The gongs rich layers of sounds, tones and harmonics are an invitation to explore ourselves, the universe, and the connections between us. In my experience, gong meditation is the simplest way to achieve a calm, meditative mind state. Period. Participants often experience deep meditative states, hypnogogic visions, and spirit quest experiences.  The gongs are played for an hour each session. After the gong bath, we will have a bite of handmade chocolate, grounding tea and a few minutes of reflection and sharing in conversation.  This is a twice monthly event, and part of what I love is the sense of community that is growing through the gongs - it is an amazing community. WHEN IS GONG LOVE HAPPENING? _Twice monthly - every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 7:00-8:30 pm_ PLEASE ARRIVE PROMPTLY AT 6:50 PM to get comfortable in your surroundings and set up your relaxing MEDITATION SPACE.  DOORS CLOSE AT 7:00 PM!  We will begin promptly at 7:00 pm.  WHERE DOES GONG LOVE TAKE PLACE? WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO GET THE MOST OUT OF A GONG LOVE SOUND MEDITATION? To be comfortable during your 1 hour gong meditation, please wear comfy loose fitting clothes. !! IMPORTANT !!
