Our Mission at SIDEWALK TALK IS TO NURTURE HUMAN CONNECTION BY
TEACHING AND PRACTICING HEART-centered listening in public spaces.
Join us for this special community event! (For 2 hours or the whole
afternoon). More event info here: https://openstreetscorvallis.org/
[https://openstreetscorvallis.org/] Ongoing: We aim to listen on the
SECOND SATURDAY of each month, from 2:00-4:00 pm at the CORVALLIS
BENTON COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY (outside if mostly dry/clear, inside if
rainy). We aren’t here to do therapy or give advice, we just want to
give you an opportunity to be seen and heard! We are here to listen
– if you want to stop by and talk, no RSVP necessary! If you are a
SIDEWALK TALK TRAINED LISTENER, be sure to RSVP so we will know to
send you logistics and details! If you would like to become a SIDEWALK
TALK TRAINED LISTENER PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE WHERE YOU CAN REGISTER,
sign a waiver, complete the free (1-hour) online listener training,
and buy your t-shirt. That’s it! Once you’ve completed the
training and waiver, RSVP here. Then, on the day of the event, just
bring two (2) camping chairs and an open heart. Hope to see you there!
Note: This is not a one-time feel-good service, rather we hope to
develop a consistent monthly practice so that we can build a strong
volunteer team to weave compassionate listening into the fabric of our
community. Contact Amy with any questions at 541-971-8959 or
