Malea & the Tourists Band features some of the Northwest’s most
dynamic musicians. The group is recognized as one of PDX’s premier
variety bands with a repertoire’ that spans all ages and genre
preferences Their selections cover Jazz standards, Swing, Pop, R&B,
Latin, BossaNova, Country, Motown, and light Rock & Roll.
MALEA: lead vocalist, is no stranger to the stage. Her credits include
performances in theatre, film, television and radio. She had the
opportunity to act in several independent films and was a featured
dancer and actor in the 20th Century Fox film “Men of Honor”
starring Robert De Niro and Cuba Gooding, Jr., and the Lifetime film,
staring Wendy Malick “Take My Advice: the Ann & Abby Story". Malea
released her 1st Album ‘If You Really Knew Me” in 2005 and the
summer of 2016 released “Bring Me Sunshine”, featuring her full
band, which has received rave reviews.
KIT TAYLOR: piano/vocals is an award-winning professional pianist and
songwriter. Kit recently released the first official single, called
“Time Stops For You", from his upcoming solo pop/AC album. The song
features longtime Michael Jackson guitarist Jennifer Batten. In 2017,
Kit was awarded 'Outstanding Achievement In Songwriting' in the Adult
Contemporary category of the Great American Song Contest for his song
"Bestill My Heart", the first publicly released track from his
upcoming solo pop/AC album which was released this June 2018.
STEVE MORGAN: upright bass, was the Director of Music Production for
Touchstone Television for 15 years and had the honor to play bass at
President Reagan’s Inauguration, touring England and the U.S. as
well as playing on "Alias" and appearing on "The Incredibles" DVD.
Steve, his wife, daughter and son share their home with 6 basses, 2
guitars and 1 piano.
