Design Research Group: What happens to our identities in our institutions?

Sat 29 February 2020

Come participate in a DESIGN RESEARCH GROUP ABOUT THE POWER AND POSSIBILITY OF CRAFTING OUR IDENTITIES IN INSTITUTIONAL SPACES. In these sessions, we will complete a generative research exercise about our experiences of individual identity, and conclude with a conversation about perspectives and experiences on how the self-images we craft interact with institutional settings. SOME EXAMPLES OF THEMES INCLUDE: What happens to our identities in our institutions? How do our experiences in institutions interact with our identities? In order for the organizations and agencies that we work and live within to serve us, they should know us. But what parts of our identities make it through the filters of institutionalization? How do the check boxes and field forms of institutions fail to capture difference, and how does that impact those of us whose identities don't fit the format? REGISTER TODAY FOR ONE OF THE RESEARCH GROUPS!
