CASUAL ACT + YIDAMKICKING OFF NW DANCE PROJECT’S 21ST SEASON!
Join us as we celebrate 21 years and nearly 400 works made and
premiered in Portland!
Our season opens with audience favorites from our two most acclaimed
choreographers!
Founding Artistic Director Sarah Slipper
[https://nwdanceproject.org/people/sarah-slipper] puts her special
spin (pun intended - you'll see) on Harold Pinter's lauded 1978 play
_Betrayal_ with her _Casual Act_
[https://nwdanceproject.org/repertoire/casual-act], while Resident
Choreographer Ihsan Rustem
[https://nwdanceproject.org/people/ihsan-rustem] will remount his
meditative and dramatic _Yidam_
[https://nwdanceproject.org/repertoire/yidam] from 2015, which has
been performed at the Bolshoi and esteemed stages in Europe, and
described as "hard to look away from such breathless abandon."
No vaccination requirements for attendees.
Masks are optional for all NW Dance Project performances.
Estimated full run time is 90 minutes with one 20-minute intermission.
ArtBar should open before and after the performance.
