Collin Kartchner (Internet Crusader, Youth Advocate & TedX
Speaker) is coming to Sherwood!!Join us for a FREE Parent Awareness
Night to learn how to rise above the harmful effects of social media &
screen time addiction on today’s youth.
~~~~~
#SAVETHEKIDS is all about inspiring youth to rise above the harmful
effects of social media & screen- addiction. Too many children suffer
silently from anxiety, depression & thoughts of suicide stemming from
24/7 access to peer culture, social media comparison, cyberbullying,
and loss of real connection. When we help them unhook from their
phones and foster true connections, happiness and real meaning can
return!
During this entertaining and life- changing parent education night,
you will gain insight into how to raise kids in this digital age, how
to keep them safe from social media pitfalls and how to reconnect with
your own kids. The evening focuses on a topic that, for most families,
is the #1 cause of contention: smart phones and gaming. Collin will
empower you with tools & knowledge to stop fighting your kids on
screen-time management and create new and healthier screen-time &
social media behaviors that can lead to happier healthier
relationships.
The following panel of local experts will join Collin for the evening
to share their insights and expertise on what they see happening
locally:
Terra A. Mattson- Author, Speaker & Co-Founder of Living Wholehearted
& Courageous Girls
Erin Schweitzer- Detective, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office-
Internet Crimes Against Children
Todd Ellingson MD, FACEP- Medical Director - Department of Emergency
Medicine, OHSU/Tuality Community Hospital
